Review: My Addiction To Sally Hansen Nail Colors

You know you are addicted to a product when you start stealing it from your sister, your best friend, and your sister-in-law. I have found myself stealing/borrowing Sally Hansen nail polish lately. Well, I did not steal them, I just never returned them. It would be weird for me to do a review on each Sally Hansen nail polish I own. It would be like repeating myself. Broken record anyone?

One of the things that I love about any Sally Hansen nail polish is its ability to strengthen the nails. I love the shine that each nail polish provides. The quality is very good for the price, and there are a large varieties to choose from.  The one in the middle that looks like I have owned it since 1990 is great for nail growth. The one on its right stops the nails from chipping. Another thing that I like about the Sally Hansen line is that they have a nail polish for each nail problem, and you don’t have to pay a fortune for any of them.

Have you used Sally Hansen nail colors?

More Information:
I know you might be asking yourself what on this natural earth of ours is  Haitian VETIVER? I am from Haiti,  and all I can remember about Vetiver is that builders used the roots to build houses. They would let  the roots sit in mud for a while and than lay them over barbed wires to form the walls of the house. I never knew that it had healing powers. Click here for more info on Vetiver.

My personal opinion:

 Pros:

  • Moisturizing beyond belief
  • Good for the price
  • Great for extremely dry skin
  • Not messy
  • Great for sunburn and blemishes

Cons:

  • The smell is over-powering

The bottom line:
The smell is very strong while applying the lotion, but it does not last. I don’t know about you, but I don’t need all this fragrance ( senti bon)  in my  healing lotion. The product can leave your skin very greasy if you use too much. It is more like a cream than a lotion. The consistency is very thick. You get best results if you use it right after your shower. Use it on dry skin if you have sunburn or mosquito bites that hurt. You can buy this product online for less than $10.00.  I am recommending this product to you. Try it and let me know what you think.

Product Description

Enriched with conditioning ingredients of Vitamins A & E and Aloe Vera for moist-looking lips.

I brushed it on only twice to have that light and shiny look.

My Personal Opinion:

  • Not messy
  • Goes on smoothly
  • Very moisturizing
  • Affordable
  • Lips stay moisturized for a long time

Bottom Line:

This is not the best lipstick that I have tried, but I would recommend it for one reason only: It is very moisturizing. Castor beans are known to provide moisture and they have great healing powers, too. So this is a great buy if you need something affordable and lip friendly.

Clean And Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub (Oil-Free) REVIEW

Howdy y’all,
I have another great product review for you ladies. I am not a product junkie, but I love to share my great finds with you. I have been using Clean & clear blackhead eraser scrub for over two years now and I am still in love with it. See, I don’t just use my products, I enter into a relationship with them; that’s why I feel used when a company decides to change some products’ ingredients with no warnings. There are things you should not buy at the Family Dollar store, but this product is not one of them. I paid $3.00 for this product, and I have been getting great results.

Product Description

See fewer blackheads in just two days! Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub has unique exfoliating multi-action beads that work to gently remove the trapped dirt, oil, and dead skin that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Three sizes of multi-action beads allow surface exfoliation and a deep down clean. Salicylic Acid, an acne fighting medicine, clears blackheads and helps prevent new ones from forming.

Active Ingredients: Salicylic Acid (2%)

Inactive Ingredients: Water, Cetyl Alcohol, PPG 15 Stearyl Ether, Polyethylene, Microcrystalline Wax, Steareth 21, Polysorbate 60, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Fragrance (Parfum), Menthyl Lactate, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Jojoba Esters

Directions:

Wet face.  Gently massage product all over face for 20-30 seconds, avoiding eye area.   Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.  Recommended for daily use.

Personal Opinion:

Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Clean smell
  • Not messy
  • Effective
  • Gentle
  • Minimizes pores
  • Balances skin
Cons:
They could have filled the container all the way to the top:-)
Now I am not going to lie to you, I did not see fewer blackheads in two days, but my face felt clean and balanced after the first few uses. It left no greasy feeling on my skin, and it did prevent new blackheads. This product really had me at “oil-free”. I touch my face a lot, so having a product that can actually remove dirt and  OIL from my skin is a must. I use it twice a day. Avoid rubbing your face with a wash cloth when using this product;  it might irritate your sensitive skin. I learned that the hard way.
Please leave a comment below if you have used or will try this product.

4 Steps To Make Your Lipstick Last Longer

Sometimes the way you apply your lipstick could be the reason why it doesn’t last. Below are 4 simple steps you can follow if you want your lipstick to last for hours.4 Steps To Make Your Lipstick LastStep #1: Invest in a great lip liner. A lip liner that is one shade darker than the lipstick you wish to wear.

Step #2: A great way to have fuller lips is to apply the lip liner on your lips first except for the center of your lips. The lipstick last longer when applied over the lip liner.

Step #3: Brush your lipstick on your lips instead of applying it from the tube. You will use less lipstick and it will stay on longer.

Step #4: Dab lip gloss to the center of your lips; that will add shine and make your lipstick last longer.
