Smooth’n Shine Polishing Mousse with Olive & Tea Tree Reviv Oil REVIEW

This product had me at Olive & Tea Tree oil. The word moisture popped in my head when I read these words. The average price for an 8.5 Fl oz is $2.70. It is a very good product. It does everything it promisses and more.

WHY I LOVE IT:
* It comes in a bottle that I can open if I want to use the last drop.
* The tube sits on the bottom of the bottle, which makes it easy to use the product when it gets to the bottom of the bottle.
*It is very easy to pump the product. You don’t have to worry about the pump getting stuck, and therefore loose most of the product.
*It is very good to keep your braids moisturized.
*It holds a twist out like no other, especially for those who have no curl definions.
*It holds the hair without making it crunchy.
*It literally speaks volume. It does not weight the hair down.
The bottom line is, it holds your hair while moisturizing it at the same time.
NOTE:
Read directions on the bottle before using the product. Sometimes too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

Does Natural Hair Grow Faster Than Relaxed Hair?

This is one the questions that pops up in my head all the time. I even asked this question on my Facebook page, and I also asked my friends at work. After doing my research on Youtube, Google, Ask.com, Yahoo Answers, and from personal experience, this is what I came up with: NO.
There is only one answer, unless somebody can prove me wrong. Your hair looks like it is growing faster because you are experiencing less breakage. Having too much chemicals on your hair can make it really dry. And if you don’t moisturize your hair everyday while it is relaxed, your dry ends will break off, which will make your hair look like it is not growing. Improper application of the relaxer on your hair, overlapping, not rinsing the relaxer completely with neutralizing shampoo, can also damage the hair and breaks it off.

There you have it! If you were thinking about reading all the Google pages about that answer, don’t even bother, I have already done all the work for you. Natural hair does not grow faster than relaxed hair.

Versatile Blogger Award

Yay! It’s my first award as a blogger, and I’ve been putting off doing this post for so long. I’d like to thank Vee at Growing in Style for the nomination.  I have to follow a few simple rules.

  1. Thank the Blogger that nominated me.
  2. Share 7 random facts about me.
  3. Nominate 15 bloggers who are relatively new to blogging.
  4. Let nominated bloggers know they have been nominated.
  5. Add the Versatile Blogger Award to my post.

So here goes nothing!

Seven Random Facts:

  1. I have 10 siblings. Yes, my parents have 11 children, I know it seems like a lot, but once you count the names on your finger, you’re like “that’s it?!” I’m the seventh in total.
  2. I don’t know if most of you all know this, but I am a proud Nigerian, like I’d run back to my country any day proud! It’s been about three years since I last visited, and I miss it so much.
  3. I use like a lot. My freshman year in high school, I took a speech class, and in our speeches, every time we used filler words like “like” “ummm” we’d get dinged, and I was great at giving an entire speech without any use of them, but as I went on in the class, I picked up those habits, which made absolutely no sense what so ever.
  4. I hate when people that don’t have any form of authority over me throw commands at me. I’m very “stubborn” “hard headed” and I don’t really enjoy being told what to do. Especially when you want something but can’t ask the proper way.
  5. I’m very bipolar. I even get called “Bipolar Freda” sometimes, but I can’t help it. It’s like the good bipolar though, not the bad one. “There’s a good bipolar and a bad one?” Sure there is! What I mean is like one minute I could be really sad, but then next thing you know I’m like allover the place, but then I could randomly start crying out of the blue.
  6. I’m mentally married to so many different people I can’t even keep count. A new celebrity comes out, we’re married! A cute guy walks by me, we’re married! I see a cute little baby, we’re married! Lol
  7. I’m a very quick and slightly good observer. I can read people quickly within moments of just talking to them, but I keep everything I observe to myself.
